A medical device company launched a multi-site study in the US to confirm the efficacy of its device for treating PTSD.
Study
The sites struggled to find patients since many suffered from disqualifying comorbidities. Many of the sites quickly exhausted their existing patient database and had no way to expand it and find new eligible participants. In addition, finding patients with the proper diagnosis was challenging; prospective patients were often found to either have been misdiagnosed, have outdated diagnoses, or were never diagnosed by a medical professional.
Strategy
The nRollmed team started by building strong relationships with the clinical staff at each site. We listened to and understood each site’s specific recruitment and enrollment challenges, and by learning their relevant processes and preferences, we worked with their availability and capacity for receiving patient referrals until we got them the enrolled patients they needed.
